YoBo Cantina Fresca

One of my dear friends was visiting Charleston and we decided to grab a late dinner the night she flew in. She was staying on the cusp of West Ashley and John’s Island near the marina (one of the many marinas). We drove to the nearest restaurant, California Dreaming. It was very touristy and extremely large. We were seated, sat there for about 10 minutes, and decided that we would find somewhere else to eat since they forgot about us.

There was a Mexican restaurant near by I wanted to try so we went to YoBo Cantina Fresca and it was perfect.

My friend was suffering from some sort of cold and she got the tortilla soup which was so flavorful and will now be my go-to when I am sick. We also split a platter of grilled chicken and all the fixings to make tacos. It also came with elote (though it wasn’t really elote because there was no mayonnaise involved, but grilled corn is always welcome).

The atmosphere was very relaxed and the food was fresh and healthy. They serve alcohol and I want to go back and try everything now! And maybe even buy one of their shirts that say “Taco Flavored Kisses.” 🙂
