The Watch Rooftop Kitchen & Spirits

My boyfriend was having a birthday so wanted to plan something special and fun. I scoured Open Table to see what I could plan that was near the Charleston Music Hall where we could go see the Charleston Jazz Orchestra that evening. Rooftop bars are huge in downtown Charleston and The Watch, atop of the Restoration Hotel, looked like a great place to start our afternoon/evening.

We got there and had reservations but they didn’t necessarily have a place for us reserved. They sat us at an open table inside after we tried looking outside. Outside was hot and extremely loud so we opted to stay inside. We both ordered a fun drink and a half-dozen order of grilled oysters.

Again, it was super loud everywhere. We honestly felt like we were in an episode of Southern Charm and just felt a little out of place. The drinks were good. The oysters were fantastic. We drank, ate, and got out of there kind of quick.

All in all it was beautiful and the food/drinks were good but not my scene.
