Vintage Coffee and Cafe

First thing is first, yes they have simple syrup for your coffee!

Now on to the rest of the post 🙂 I went to the lovely Vintage Coffee and Cafe in Mt. Pleasant with a friend for brunch on a Saturday morning. To start, the place was packed. It seems a lot of people grab food to go to grab to the beach which causes there to be a lot of people standing around, sipping their caffeinated drinks, waiting for a big paper bag to take out into the sun with them.

My friend and I both got iced coffee, which was really strong, along with some food. It appears that Vintage is one of the few places in Chucktown that serves açaí bowls. My friend got one of those. I was feeling a little more savory, so got the roasted vegetable hash which was supposed to have roasted seasonal vegetables over red potatoes, black beans, queso fresco with eggs. It was yummy but there was maybe just a few pieces of vegetables, so maybe more just hash than roasted veggie hash. Regardless, it was filling and served in a super cute Le Creuset ramekin.

There is lots of outdoor seating, which will be great when it cools down. All in all, I enjoyed vintage and definitely would return. Maybe next time for lunch or later for some wine!
