When polling my co-workers for places I had to take my upcoming out of town visitors, they all agreed Tattooed Moose was a must. And they all spoke magically about the Duck Fat Fries.

My friend and I went to Tattooed Moose at the perfect time, a late Sunday afternoon after the brunch crowd had cleared leaving us an almost empty dive bar to enjoy all of the decadence that was about to be laid out on our table.

My friend ordered the Mike’s Famous Duck Club and said it was “the best sandwich [she] has ever had.” I ordered the Smoked Chicken Salad BLT which was a fabulous mix of sweet with the tomatoes and salty with the bacon. But really, what we need to talk about are the fries. They are thin, crispy, and plentiful. Paired with a garlic aioli… Amazing.

They also have a ton of beers and a good happy hour!

We really enjoyed our late lunch at Tattooed Moose and I definitely will be back with other visitors.

Update: I did return with another out of town visitor and also my boyfriend. Both thoroughly enjoyed the food. I got the Gyro on another occasion, it wasn’t my favorite so definitely will stick with the BLT!
